About Us

We are a couple of Dads that are also basketball junkies.  We have coached, played and watched ALOT of basketball throughout the Midwest.  We felt like there was a need to both centralize and bring more awareness and recognition to High School Girls Basketball players in the area.  Since our daughters compete in, or have competed in, the Sunflower League of Kansas, which includes, Shawnee Mission (5), Olathe (5), Lawrence (2), Gardner-Edgerton & Mill Valley High Schools, that’s where our focus started back in December 2018.  We occasionally cover other girls HS players in the are and in the great State of Kansas doing great things.

We started a Podcast called the Sunflower Smack Show with Toto and the Oz  that you can find under the “Shows” tab above.  We receive help from some teachers & students in Olathe Northwest High School’s eCommunication Department help us sound good.  They also helped us build this website that will hopefully serve as a destination to get updated info on anything related to the Sunflower League Girls Basketball.  We strongly encourage you to follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

We make $0 doing this.  We are not affiliated with the Sunflower League, but all coaches know what we are doing and have let them know our intentions.  They have been very supportive of our efforts.  It is purely for entertainment, a public service, and hopefully some good information.  Mostly, we hope that some girls will get noticed that may not have previously by some colleges.  We also like to spotlight multi-sport athletes and also those working hard in their communities to make them a better place.  Please enjoy!

Any alumni, please let us know if you are playing at the next level.  We love to spotlight you too!
